Welcome to paofuqi.com. By accessing Paofuqi, reading its guides, or playing its browser board games, you agree to these Terms of Use. If you do not agree, please do not use the site.

1. The service

Paofuqi offers free browser-based board games and learning guides for personal, non-commercial entertainment and education. Current games include Banqi (Chinese Dark Chess) and Gomoku, with local play, computer opponents, and private invite-a-friend online rooms where supported. No account is required.

2. "As is", no warranty

The site, games, guides, and online room features are provided "as is" and "as available", without warranties of any kind, express or implied. Paofuqi does not guarantee that the site will be uninterrupted, error-free, or free of harmful components.

3. Limitation of liability

To the maximum extent permitted by law, Paofuqi is not liable for any direct, indirect, incidental, or consequential damages arising from your use of, or inability to use, the site.

4. Acceptable use

You agree not to misuse the site — including attempting to disrupt games or online rooms, abuse room APIs, scrape the site at scale, interfere with other users, bypass rate limits, or use the site for any unlawful activity.

5. Intellectual property

The game code, design, and original text on this site are owned by Paofuqi or its licensors. Traditional game rules such as Banqi and Gomoku are not claimed as Paofuqi property.

Game-piece symbols, labels, and diagrams are used to explain traditional board games and are maintained as part of Paofuqi's interface and guide content. Any third-party asset that requires attribution should be credited near the asset or in project records.

6. Advertising

Paofuqi does not currently show third-party ad units. If ads are added later, they may be provided by outside services and may link to websites that Paofuqi does not control.

7. External links

The site may link to external websites that Paofuqi does not control. Paofuqi is not responsible for their content or practices.

8. Changes

Paofuqi may update these Terms at any time. Continued use of the site after changes means you accept the updated Terms.

9. Governing law

These Terms are governed by the laws of Taiwan, without regard to conflict-of-law principles.
